We Heart Wednesday!

This Wednesday, I love:
MY LIFE!
Here's a few pictures to give you some clues as to what I've been up to lately!

Picking out different makeup to buy/wear! I've really been into eye shadow palettes lately. Let me know if you have any good sites for me to check out! I also got a really cool blush/cheek contour palette, I can't wait to use it!

BED! I've been getting so comfy lately and just laying in bed watching Netflix. When my husband is gone, I break out my down comforter and just cuddle in it all night. It makes me feel so cozy and comfy! It's probably one of the best feelings in the world.

Laundry...I feel like I do AT LEAST two loads a day. And yet there is still dirty laundry in my hamper. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?! There's only two of us, what would it be like with 2 children? A never ending battle, that's what it'd be!

Drinking Coffee. I love it. I love it. I love it.

My life is going so great right now. It's kind of the "calm before the storm." I'm not sure what's coming my way, but life has been going almost TOO good for awhile now. Something is about to happen, I can feel it...

Where's My Maternal Instinct?

Today I realized something, I'm staring my youth in the face, and I have two choices. I can be young and in love, have fun drinking, partying, and just being married to the love of my life. OR I can start a family, settle down, take life as it comes, calm down a little and just try and be a great mother. And honestly, only one of those options sounds good to me, and that's the first. I can't see myself being a mom, I can't see myself settling down, and I can't see myself mothering children. This past week, I've been hanging out with some different people. They all have children or are pregnant/trying to get pregnant, and honestly, I find it all annoying. Is that absolutely horrible. It seems that every time I hang out with mom's/mom's with their children, ALL we talk about is kids, pregnancy, etc. Why is that the topic of EVERY conversation I seem to have now-a-days?! Is it SO hard to just have a good time without kids? Can't a 20-something year old just NOT have kids? I feel like I "lose" so many of my friends because of children. Not like I really lose them, just that things change and we're not in the same place any more, ya know? I don't want to hang out with a screaming baby, and someone with a screaming baby doesn't want to stay out till all hours of the night drinking whipped cream vodka. We're in different places, and it seems that this happens more and more. (this is me venting.)

On another hand, I'm kind of worried. Half of me is sick of kids, never wants to have kids, and never wants to talk about kids. But the other half of me is wondering when my maternal instinct will kick in. I mean, I'm only 20, but people younger than me are getting pregnant. People in this community usually have kids by the time their 21-22. If you were to ask me when I want kids, I'd say 25-27. Is there a reason I'm so turned off by children? Will I always be like this? Or will I want to be a mother some day? I know some people never want to have kids...but I really do. Someday down the line I feel like my maternal instinct switch will just turn on and I'll be ready. Someday..for now, I'll enjoy my youth. I like being young and in love.

Tanning Lotion Reviews!

SMOKE BLACK BRONZER TANNING LOTION

I used this about two days ago and I don't notice a HUGE difference just yet. It was a lot less greasy then my previous lotion (I don't remember the name of it right now though...oops!) It was pretty light on my skin and it had a great scent! I guess I didn't rub it in too well on the top of my hand though, because I do have a streak on it. Not too noticeable, but enough for me to notice it, obviously. I also missed a spot on my back, and now I have a white spot right in the middle of my back. I'm hoping it fades, or else next time I go tanning, I'll have to lather it on kinda thick on that one spot. So far, I'm digging this lotion. It was one of the best lotions I could find. And again, I've only used it once so far. It says to use this lotion once you've hit your "tanning plateau" which I had definitely hit. After you get your base tan, if you're using the wrong lotion, it seems like you just keep going tanning but you never get any darker, so I'm hoping after I use this tanning lotion for a couple weeks, I'll be getting noticeably darker. I'll definitely keep you updated!

AUSTRALIAN GOLD CRYSTAL FACES TANNING LOTION

Definitely got a good result after using this lotion. My face hasn't broken out yet, I wasn't overly greasy, I have no streak marks on my face, and my face isn't darker or lighter than the rest of my body. It's blended very well. Before I used this I was a little worried that my face would get darker than the rest of my body, but it's looking perfect so far. I had a lot of freckles when I got out of the bed, more than usual anyways, so I know it was doing its job! I couldn't really smell any scent on this lotion, which isn't really problem. I liked the pump that the lotion came out of. It's nice, it gives you just the right amount to use. I also put it on my neck and ears so it would blend a little better and that seemed to help as well.

All in all, these lotions aren't SUPER amazing yet. I'm hoping to see major results in the next couple weeks. I didn't expect to see crazy good results in the first use, but from what I see, I like. So I'll keep you updated and hopefully within the next couple times I tan, I'll have some good news!

Planned Parenthood Funding.

Something that has been near and dear to my heart recently, is the bill that the Senate and the House of Representatives are discussing based on funding for Planned Parenthood. For those of you that don't have a Planned Parenthood or know what it is, Planned Parenthood is a place teens, women, parents and even men can go if they are low income or even just need some free condoms. It is a place that teaches people about safe sex, healthy sex, and birth control. Women cafn go there to get treated for cervical cancer, std's, birth control, and many more things. Yes, they do perform abortions, but so does every other doctor's office/hospital. It is a safe haven for many girls who need to learn about safe sex or birth control in a more confidential setting. I was that girl.

My parents never taught me about sex. They taught me to never have sex before marriage, but that's all they told me. Being a teenage girl in high school, obviously all my friends we're having sex, and I had no idea what they were going through. My parents would have DIED if I had come to them asking to be put on birth control. But at the same time, I had a boyfriend who I loved and wanted to have sex with. I'm not stupid, I wasn't going to have unprotected sex, I knew that much! So, I went to Planned Parenthood, somewhere you can go if you don't have health insurance (or if you just didn't want your parents to find out, like I did!) They gave me free birth control for a year, free condoms, and free plan b just in case! They even set me up with a doctor's appointment to see which kind of birth control would be best for me and my lifestyle! All for free! If I didn't have a Planned Parenthood to go to, I definitely would have been at a higher risk of pregnancy, if not pregnant at a VERY young age (with VERY upset parents!)

That's just ONE story out of millions! If Planned Parenthood's funding gets cut, think of all the lives that would be affected. Not only would so many low-income individuals be out of birth control, but there would be no free std testings, no free condoms, no cervical cancer treatment. I know I've said this a lot, but Planned Parenthood is such a great place. Cutting the funding would just be hearth breaking for so many people.
