Tsunami Warning!

Yes, our little island is under a tsunami warning. We're getting about 1 foot waves though, so no worries. My blog must go on! Looking to find some other blogger friends that you can talk to? Well head on over to Three Hands Full and link up and meet some other MilSpouse friends.

ALRIIIGHTT, I'm also joining Wife of a Sailor and her friends with this weeks MilSpouse Fill-In Fridayyyy!
Read it. Post it. Make Friends, Hoes.
1. During military separations (whether short or long) how do you keep yourself positive and motivated? submitted by Married/Single Parent
I really just try to keep busy. Working, walking the dogs, hanging out with friends, cooking, blogging, just doing things that keep my mind of being alone. I don't mind being alone, so it's not that hard to keep myself positive. But It's nice to keep busy so your mind isn't always on it.
2. What is your favorite concert you have ever been to? submitted by Young but Not (Completely) Dumb
Ohhh my god. DJ Pauly D was the best by far. It was so much fun! It was like a club and a concert all in one.
3. What do you miss most about your “hometown”?  submitted by A Florida Girl and Her Soldier
On this small island I'm on, there's not very much to do. There's JUST the essentials basically, no Target, Khols, Red Robbin. Just a few of everyday stores, and I guess I just really miss that where I grew up, there was EVERYTHING you could possibly need. It was close to everything, close to other towns, close to the big city, it was a really good location, and I miss being only 10 minutes away from everything.
4. If you could run in any race, which charity would you choose to support? submitted by Wookie & Co.
I'm not sure...I'm not sure what it's called. But when a pregnant mother does drugs while she's pregnant. I would do a run for those babies that need medical help or were abandoned by drug addicted parents.
5. You find out Willy Wonka is your father, what 3 course meal do you INSIST he create in that stick of gum?  submitted by A{muse}ing Mommy on a Pink Park Bench
The appetizer would be Potato Twisters from Applebees. Yuuummm, best appetizer ever. Then the main course would have to be Cranberry Pot Roast with mashed potatoes. And the dessert would have to be Sizzling Apple Pie from Applebees. Yumm..I'm so hungry now.

DAY TWENTY FOUR
A picture of something you wish you could change.
I wish I could go around to all the animal shelters and just find perfect homes for every single dog and cat. This just breaks my heart. I want all those animals to be in warm homes, with little kids running around, and a big dog bed right in front of the heater. Please, adopt pets, don't breed them. That's just not necessary.

  1. Amen on not buying a pet! We're guilty of falling in love with an "Adopt Me" ad - and now we're the proud owners of a rescued Bulldog. :)

If only everyone would feel the need to not buy into puppy mills.

But let's not turn this into a soapbox stand. :D

Time to read your back entries!

  2. I wish I could find homes for all the animals at all the shelters also! It really is heartbreaking. We planned to get a dog from the pound before my sister plopped her dog into our laps, but its going to be one of the first things we do when we get a house with a yard!

  4. Girl, I feel the same. I volunteered at an animal shower for a couple of months and it's heart breaking. You want to take all the pets home, but you just can't. And you hear some pretty lame excuses for why the pets are in the shelter in the first place... people are cruel.

I'm glad the tsunami didn't do much damage!
